Empowering teen girls to be their best selves.
Join us for this 6-part workshop series designed for girls ages 13-17. This series is designed to encourage young girls to take charge of their lives.
Workshop Topics:
January 27th- Vision Board & Goals: Vision boards are a great tool to use in order to create a positive growth in your life and create an elevated version of self. Youth will be guided through a mindful approach to creating their personalized vision board.
February 24th- Self-Care & Mindfulness: Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment. Noticing thoughts as they arise and letting them go as a form of self-care. Youth will learn breathing techniques and other forms of self-care to manage stress and anxiety.
March 24th- Careers & Business Planning: Youth will evaluate and plan their employment goals, as well as expand their job-related skills and knowledge. Business opportunities will be explored along with resource to pursue future goals.
April 28th- Nutrition & Healthy Eating: Youth will learn essential steps of developing healthy eating awareness and explore a routine that matches their health goals and food preferences.
May 26th- Self-Defense & Kickboxing: A basic course in self-defense strategies taught by a local trained instructor. Youth will learn the basic principles of self-defense and follow up with kickboxing drills.
June 23rd- Spread Sunshine Community Outreach: Youth will explore acts of kindness and community outreach opportunities. They will develop a personal plan on how they can contribute to they can positively impact their local community now and in the future.
