BATAVIA, IL — Two of Batavia's most-anticipated summer events will not be happening this summer due to the coronavirus, Batavia Park District officials announced last week. The Windmill City Festival and the River Rhapsody Concert Series are both canceled to ensure the safety and health of employees and patrons, officials said. The Windmill City Festival was scheduled for July 10-12, while the River Rhapsody series was set to feature performance every Wednesday night from June 17 through Aug. 5. Kane Co. Hall Quarry Beach will not open this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
