Ready to have some fun? Come join our 2022 Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser and help our next build in Freedom, NH. The Ossipee Mountains Habitat for Humanity (OMHFH) is having a Cornhole Tournament , hosted by Hobb's Tavern in West Ossipee. The proceeds from this fundraiser will help build our next partner family's home in Freedom, NH. $75 per team donation. Double Elimination. Food and Drinks will be available to purchase from Hobb's Tavern. If you wish to send your $75 team donation by check, please make checks payable to: OMHFH and send to OMHFH, PO Box 81, Wolfeboro Falls, NH 03896. In the memo write the two teammates' names. At Habitat we offer help up, not a hand out to local families that need a decent place to call home. These homes aren't free for our partner families. They must perform at least 250 sweat equity hours into building their home. After the build, our partner family purchases their new home from us at cost. Then they pay an interest-free, affordable mortgage. The funds received from the mortgage goes back into the budget to help pay to build a new home. Each home that we build with our partner families used to cost roughly $100,000. With today's market, it is much higher. Fundraising is a big part of our budget for building new homes. When the home is finished, the partner family purchases the home at cost and we provide a no-interest, affordable mortgage to them. Each fundraiser gets us closer to that $100,000 goal!
