Come Build a Sensory Bin with Us! Sensory Bins allow kids to explore & learn while engaging their senses and enhancing development. We're so EXCITED and can't wait for our first ever "Build a Sensory Bin" event in downtown San Antonio, TX at Hemisfair Park! We've gathered all the materials needed for your child to create a sensory bin of their choice. This event is made to promote early learning, fine motor, emotional & language development for children who love sensory activities. See more info & event details below! This event is also OPEN TO all Child Development & Therapy Specialists!!!! ABOUT EVENT Custom Build Your Sensory Bin This event will feature multiple tabes with sensory bin making materials for each child and parent to visit together. Each child with the assistance of their parent, will travel around the tables and scoop items into a zip lock bag. While keeping COVID-19 precautions in place, we've created this out door open flow event that is a great child led activity that can be used as an educational or leisure purposes in multiple settings such as home, school, or therapy appointments. EVENT GUIDE This event is a make-and-take activity. During event parents and children will, First pick up a zip lock back and one (1) Scoop tool to take with them throughout the event. There are five (5) stations total. A station checklist will be provided to ensure you and your child have visited each station to collect materials. Once you've visited all the stations, child now has an activity they can engage in at home, at school (if permited) or while in their private or group therapy sessions (if permited by therapists). Feel free to make one last stop at our One Love Children's booth to pick up any future educational resources you made need. Also, enjoy the day roming Hemisfair parks outdoor sensory playground! SENSORY BIN STATION GUIDE Station #1: Containers. Pick up a zip lock bag, container and scooper. Station #2: Filler. Fill your zip lock bag with any filler of your choice. Rice, Beans, Noodles, Soft Puff Balls, etc Station #3: Tools. At this station, child can choose a desired tool. Pinchers, measuring scoop, funnel, cups, baster, etc Station #4: Enhancements. At this station, child can pick a toy. Car, Trucks, action figure, animals, (parent discretion advised.) Station #5: One Love Children's Resource Station.
