Description

PLEASE READ THE DETAILS OF THIS FIELD TRIP CAREFULLY. EACH FIELD TRIP HAS UNIQUE GUIDELINES FOR AGES, NUMBER OF CHAPERONES, ETC. NO REFUNDS! This field trip is for Heartland Charter School students and their families. Join us for a nature scavenger hunt at the Three Bridges Oak Preserve! We will do a nature walk and talk, pointing out local flora and fauna. The Three Bridges Oak Preserve (TBOP) is a 103 acre undeveloped parcel of native vegetation representative of both the mountains and interior valleys of California’s central coast. It is located approximately two miles west of the city center of Atascadero, California and is bordered on the north by Atascadero Creek and on the south by chaparral and oak woodland. The Preserve contains predominately native vegetation representing riparian, oak savannah, chaparral, and coastal mountain ecologies. Bring plenty of water, a hat, sunscreen, and shoes appropriate for hiking. This is an easy, family friendly hike. Check out some of the educational standards being taught during this field trip. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration. Any student that is registered without a chaperone will have their reservation canceled unless the family reaches out to the field trip lead and lets them know which registered chaperone will be responsible for their student. **To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**Please read our refund policy! Refunds will not be given. As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip, please contact the teacher that planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you. You may not send a different family in your place as we will not have a waiver for them. May I pay using my funds? This is a free field, but each person attending needs a ticket. Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. Due to limited space only one chaperone per family will be allowed. What are the check-in procedures?
