BATAVIA, IL — A week after telling families of their intent to bring middle and high schools back for in-person learning amid the coronavirus pandemic, officials from Batavia Public School District 101 outlined some of the plan's major details. Officials sent a letter telling parents that they are hoping to reopen Batavia High School to students starting Oct. 19, with Rotolo Middle School to reopen Nov. 16. No Coronavirus Deaths In Kane County Since Sept. 16 High schoolers who initially opted for in-person learning when officials gave families a choice will attend in-person classes for five hours a day, starting at 7:35 a.m., according to a report by the Kane County Chronicle. High school students will be given lunches to take home at 12:35 p.m., and they will have until 2:30 p.m. to complete virtual assignments, the report states.
