BATAVIA, IL — Batavia's Holy Cross school is closing its doors to students for the next two weeks after two priests tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a report by the Kane County Chronicle. The Diocese of Rockford sent a letter this week telling families that students would be learning from home until Oct. 13 after the Rev. James Parker and the Rev. Romeo Pavino tested positive, the report states. No Coronavirus Deaths In Kane County For 2 Weeks The two priests celebrated Mass several times at the church between Sept. 10 and Sept. 24, according to the report. Masses, confessions and other in-person activities and meetings will be canceled for the next two weeks, but virtual meetings and activities will continue, the Chronicle reports.
