Description

With Dan Libenson and Tova Birnbaum How is this Passover different from all other Passovers? This year it's about the User Experience: the educator (you!) and the community member! A few days after Purim, we, Bay Area Jewish educators, will take time for ourselves to make sure this Passover is different. We will take two full days and immerse ourselves in a hands-on laboratory experience. Monday, March 21, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM AND Tuesday, March 22, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM What will we do together? LEARN - new things about the holiday. Go deeper and wider, discover lesser-known traditions, and be inspired by other cultures with similar rituals and themes. CREATE - Each of us will come out of this experience with a new finished idea for this year. You will choose one part of Passover to focus on, and we will help each other create new meaningful ways to mark the holiday of renewal and freedom. CONNECT - with others, while enhancing our local professional community, and with our tradition, in new and surprising ways. Who is this experience for? Bay Area Jewish educators from across all settings: Jewish Day Schools, Synagogues, Hillel, JCCs, Rabbis, independent educators, etc. The workshop will be facilitated bt Dan Libenson and Tova Birnbaum Dan Libenson is the founder and executive director of Judaism Unbound and the UnYeshiva digital center for Jewish learning and unlearning.
