From the Hennepin County Library: March 12, 2020 Power up your job search! Join us to learn about current career and training opportunities in the Twin Cities. Discover career-training programs, interview with employers, meet job counselors, learn about a trade, or network with other job seekers. Connect with community organizations regarding housing, expungement of records, affordable computer access, or basic computer classes. Get assistance with writing your résumé and cover letter, completing job applications, and much more. Featuring Dr. Verna Price as keynote speaker. Register online to save your spot. Check-in begins at 2 p.m. Exhibits are available to visit throughout the event, 2-7 p.m.: meet with 40 employers, nonprofit and government agency exhibitors about employment, training opportunities, and other services. 2:30-5:30 p.m. Drop-in sessions Legal consultations: consultations with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid for assistance with housing, expungement, and more. Résumé and computer help: get help with your résumé, fill out job applications, or take a Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment. 3-3:45 p.m. Keynote Power Up!
