The Youth Symposium is designed to highlight some of the prevalent concerns that negatively impact our youth. The Youth Symposium is a national initiative of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. This event is open to ages 8-18 and will address issues and opportunities related to STEAM, Health/Wellness, Social Action/Justice, Financial Literacy, and Culture. During the symposium, youth will engage in interactive activities and meaningful discussion that will empower them to create solutions that will impact their lives and the lives of their peers in our communities. Youth will participate in three breakout sessions that will center around Social Media, Fitness, STEAM, or Mental Health. Other vendors and tables will be set up as well, to connect youth to the surrounding community. The event will be capped at 30 participants, who will receive a free gift! Breakfast and Lunch will be provided! **We will be following all CDC Covid-19 Guidelines** The Kappa Omega Sigma Lakeland Alumnae Chapter is committed to enhancing the quality of life within the community. We support public service, leadership development, youth education programs and other activities that promote positivity within our community. We are committed to excellence in scholarship, sisterhood and service.
