Excited for springtime? Looking to reconnect with nature and other local art teachers? Join us for a "Gather 'n' Draw" event! This in-person, hands-on workshop at Silver Lake Nature Center (SLNC) located in Lower Bucks County, PA, will be based in the recreation room, but the Nature Center will be open for art teachers to draw and paint a wide variety of plants and animals in the SLNC's resource room and over 4 miles of trails. Limited shared supplies will be available (mixed-media paper, colored pencils and watercolors) but teachers are encouraged to BYO sketchbooks or any specific supplies to use or experiment with. If you are interested in drawing or painting "en plein air" on the trails or near the lake, please BYO portable chair and/or drawing surface/easel! Come meet other area art teachers, practice your observational drawing and painting skills, reconnect with nature and explore the SLNC which could be a great educational resource for your students. Participants will receive 2 hours of Act 48 credit. Snacks will be provided. Teachers will meet in the recreation room inside the center. The Silver Lake Nature Center is located close to 95, route 13 and the turnpike in Lower Bucks County, PA. The parking lot is next to the center and is free. The Pennsylvania Art Education Association actively supports and promotes visual art education through professional development, leadership and service.
