The Mission of this event is to bring together the FIU community in celebration at the Miami Beach Pride Parade. After 2 years of parade postponement, this year we are celebrating the 8th anniversary of FIU's participation in the Miami Beach Pride Parade. The Mission of this event is to bring together the FIU community in celebration of our LGBTQIA+ Panthers at the Miami Beach Pride Parade. FIU has the largest contingency on an annual basis, and our overall involvement exemplifies FIU's continued support of all LGBTQIA+ Panthers. FAQs What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? The first 100 students are eligible to take the bus transportation from both campuses. Tickets are marked with "Transportation" or "No Transportation," so make sure to select the correct ticket according to your needs. What can I bring to the event? You will be walking and moving around so dress comfortably. Temperatures during the day can be dangerously high. We encourage you to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and headgear. We will provide water. Please remember to pick up from our office your 2022 FIU Pride shirt (more information will be sent closer to the event), and wear it to march in the Parade. You will not be allowed to march in the parade without it. Select the same color as your friends in order to march together! What happens if I missed the registration and student tickets sold out? You will be able to join the wait-list, and will be contacted closer to the event if people drop-out. You can also volunteer for the Pride Parade by emailing [email protected] What COVID-19 procedures are in place for this event? All FIU panthers and visitors are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated, boosted, and wear masks for FIU events. We also highly recommend that you get tested within 24 hours before attending.
