STONEHAM, MA — A woman walking her dogs was attacked last week in the Fells, a local nonprofit said the police reported to them. The Friends of the Fells said State Police told them the attack took place Wednesday, Feb. 16, between 3:55-4:05 p.m, at the intersection of Reservoir Road and Middle Reservoir Road, "about 200 yards from the crossover bridge between the Middle and South Reservoirs." Police said someone described as a middle-aged white man with gray and white hair wearing workout clothes kicked at the woman's dogs and hit her in the face. The man kept jogging over the bridge and is believed to have exited in the parking lot north of Alice Lane of South Border Road in Medford. The woman suffered minor injuries. "We are saddened to hear of this instance of violence in the Fells and will continue our work with the Department of Conservation and Recreation, State Police, and state legislators to identify ways to make the Fells a safer place for everyone," The Friends of the Fells said. People with information should call State Police at 781-396-0100.
