The recruiting for experienced Auto Mechanics of all skill levels for our Hyundai Dealership. Service Technicians are responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned. Apply using this link: Typical Duties Include: Receives repair orders and performs assigned work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency, accuracy, and completeness in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Meets applicable technician productivity and customer service satisfaction expectations. Diagnoses customer stated concerns and performs appropriate repairs using factory communications, bulletins, and service procedures as outlined by the factory; and coordinates with the Parts Department for necessary parts. Promotes teamwork among all technicians by occasionally assisting others with diagnostics and repair suggestions, including new techniques, while promoting “fix it right the first time” and efficiency. Completes thorough inspections on each vehicle serviced using the applicable “multi-point inspection” (“MPI”) sheet to determine safety needs and other potential repair needs. Provides completed MPI findings to the Service Advisor immediately so that the Service Advisor can inform the customer in a timely fashion of any additional needs while the vehicle is still in the repair shop. Keeps the Service Advisor and the Lead Technician informed of service and repair progress, including any requested work that may not be needed, and advance notification of any repairs that cannot be completed by the stated promise time. Properly documents the necessary information on each repair order using the required three “C’s" (Condition, Cause, and Correction) in a complete fashion and performs appropriate quality control/road tests for each repair to verify correction. Ensures adherence to warranty processing expectations and that appropriate warranty information (and parts retention) is provided to support the dealership’s warranty claims processes. Stays abreast of new trends and techniques in vehicle repair. Keeps current on all factory training including certifications, wed-based or other training, technical service bulletins, other update literature, and new model training. Ensures proper care or customers’ vehicles during service visits including but not limited to keeping customers’ vehicles clean; using proper seat, floor, fender, and steering wheel covers; safe driving; etc. Keeps workstation clean and safe, spills must be cleaned immediately and shop tools should be cleaned and returned to their stations immediately after use so that others do not have to hunt for them. Understands and adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste and, usage of personal protective safety equipment and practices. The successful candidate will typically have the following skills and experience: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Six months to one year of related experience, or alternative training required. Must be able to learn and use all applicable software programs used by the dealership. Must achieve and maintain factory certifications. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
