Press release from the City of Long Beach: February 23, 2022 Nassau County DPW contractors are scheduled to begin steel joint repairs and a concrete deck patch repair on the Southbound Long Beach Bridge early next week. The bridge joint work will take place on Monday, February 28 at night from 9pm to 5am. Traffic from the Southbound Bridge will be detoured on to the Northbound Bridge. On Wednesday, March 2, crews will be doing patching of concrete areas on the Southbound Bridge deck during the day and will be taking lanes to accomplish the work.
