Here are the top 3 stories today in Buffalo: On Thursday, several members of the Buffalo community were honored as part of a Black History Month program. The group of local African Americans was recognized for their contributions to the city of Buffalo, including school leadership programs and other initiatives that have helped the community. (Buffalo News)Two local high schoolers from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts designed the billboards that are now on display on Main Street near The Medical Campus. The students won a national competition that allowed them to design the billboards. One billboard focuses on saving the environment while the other promotes the combination of arts and education.
