Male songwriter in 30’s seeking band member(s) to create dynamic eclectic band. At this stage it’s just me on acoustic guitar: all instruments are welcome. Willingness to explore ideas and jam are a must, however I do prefer definite parts/road maps for performances. Age/Race/etc. unimportant. Intentional playing is more important than overall skill level. Practice is also pretty important even as times are crazy - it would still be nice to have a weekly session. The music is folk based with jazz chords peppered in alongside themes of nature & everyday magic. I have about 20 originals and am currently incorporating covers to have enough material for two sets. The goal is to book wine bars, breweries, etc. for summer shows. Various musical and literary influences: Little Wings, Dylan, Nina Simone, Neil Young, The Velvet Underground, Joni Mitchell, Ted Lucas, Frank Ocean, Tom Waits, Jim O’Rourke. Jazz & World Music. Afropop. Pablo Neruda, Walt Whitman, Hanya Yanagihara, Kerouac, Saul Williams, Murakami. I’m fully vaxxed & ready to start rehearsing. Looking forward to hearing from you! Thanks!
