CHATHAM, NJ — The Watchung Avenue and River Road intersection is expected to be down to one lane on Thursday because of construction, according to the Chatham Borough Police Department. Chatham Borough police said in an alert on Thursday morning, construction is planned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drivers should anticipate the potential for heavy travel delays in that area and plan an alternate route, police said.
