Death Investigation Underway In La Quinta

LA QUINTA, CA — Sheriff's detectives were investigating the death of a 48-year-old man in La Quinta. Branston William Bauder, of La Quinta, was found suffering from traumatic injuries at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday when Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 55400 block of Riviera Lane. According to Sgt. Ed Baeza, Bauder was airlifted to a hospital, where he died from his wounds. No suspects were wanted in the case and the investigation was ongoing.
