Driver Dies After One Vehicle Crash In Minneapolis

Press release from the Minneapolis Police Department: December 11, 2020 December 11, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) – Friday morning at 4:57 am, Minneapolis Police responded to a report of a one vehicle crash in the area of 45th Street East and Cedar Avenue South. Officers arrived and located an adult male, believed to be in his 30's, behind the wheel without a pulse or respirations. Officers removed him from the truck and onto the ground and began CPR until relieved by paramedics. The driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. Crime Lab personnel responded to document the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates that speed and drugs may be contributing factors. The Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death in the days to come. The GO # for this case is 20-308187.
