Race To The Flagpole Scheduled For Saturday

LIVERMORE, CA — Registration is still open for the Race to the Flagpole, an annual race through wine country sponsored by the Livermore Granada Boosters. The money from the race will be used to fund $16,000 in scholarships for student athletes. The race will start Saturday at Independence Park in Livermore and continue through Sycamore Grove Park. A 10K race lasting from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. costs $45, a 5K from 9-11:30 costs $40, and a 1-mile fun run from 10:15-11:30 costs $15. Registration at the park begins at 6:45 a.m. All participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, medal, and post-race refreshments. Top male and female finishers, as well as top students in each elementary, middle, and high school will be recognized. See here for maps and registration.
