JOLIET, IL — Jordan Henry of Harvey is now in the Will County Jail in connection with Wednesday afternoon's chase involving more than a dozen Illinois State Police vehicles, ending when Henry crashed into a ditch along I-55 near I-80.
On Thursday night, the Illinois State Police posted a CAPTURED mugshot and brief summary of the charges filed against the 28-year-old apprehended near Joliet. Bail is set at $1 million.
"Great job to all involved in the apprehension of this driver!" the Illinois State Police District 5 announced on Facebook.
After crashing near I-80, Henry ran from his stolen vehicle, but Illinois State Police dogs bit him several times, leading to his capture, police indicated. Henry was hospitalized with minor injuries on Wednesday because of the dog bites.
He is now lodged in the Will County Jail.
Henry was driving a stolen vehicle that was taken during a Chicago carjacking, Illinois State Police said.
