PORTLAND, OR — If you hear low-flying fighter jets over the region on Wednesday and Thursday nights, don't worry. We're not under attack from Washington. The Oregon Air National Guard will be conducting night training exercises with F0-15 Eagles. The night training allows the pilots to stay current with Air Force rules. "We train at night to maintain combat readiness and all weather capabilities," 142nd Wing commander Col. Todd Hofford said. "These proficiencies are what is required for us to stay out front and win the wars, "We appreciate the accommodation of the local communities who may hear us at night." The night flying will be over by 10 p.m. each evening.
