BOLINGBROOK, IL — Mitchem Early Childhood teacher Megan Hillegass was named as this year's ISBE Those Who Excel Early Childhood Teacher of the Year, according to a release from Valley View School District. Mitchem Early Childhood Center Principal Jacci Brown led a group of visitors to Hillegass' classroom to share the news, the district said. Former Mitchem Assistant Principal Tionia Williams submitted the nomination, and Williams also came back to visit VVSD to see Megan presented with the award.
