Pop-Up 'Arctic Winter Bar' Opening In Port Barrington

PORT BARRINGTON, IL — The Broken Oar in Port Barrington will open its winter pop-up bar this week. The "festive wintery drinkery" will open at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, and features an enclosed and heated outdoor bar and lounge on the Fox River with plenty of sparkle, holiday decorations and a drink menu with winter-themed drinks. The bar has a full menu, specialty winter drinks, iced shots and more. A $5 pre-registration is required, and tickets are available for purchase online. The ticket will get you into the bar as well as one specialty drink. The bar will be open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Dec. 5 through Feb. 2, 2020. The Broken Oar is located at 614 Rawson Bridge Road in Port Barrington.
