I. Job Summary This position performs tasks involving physical labor at various locations as assigned by the Project Manager. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned Transfers tank bottoms to another tank or into pipeline. Blends heavy paraffin or asphaltic type tank bottoms with crude oil, as the tank is being cleaned, and pumping the blended mix back into line or tank. Removes of floats roof seals. Raises and cribs collapsed floating roofs. Re-positions roof support legs on internal floating roof tanks while in service. Removes of collapses aluminum internal floating roofs. III. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties. IV. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited). Experience: Six (6) months of relevant experience (in addition to education requirement). B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements Experience in oil & gas industry preferred. Valid driver’s license. TWIC card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting. HAZWOPER Certification or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of starting. Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or alcohol testing may be required by certain customer-contract requirements. Such testing may include urinalysis, oral swab, drug hair follicle testing, and/or alcohol testing. C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required Ability to work in confined spaces. Ability to understand and follow directions. Basic knowledge of safety practices. V. Work Environment Listed below are key points regarding environmental demands and work environment of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. This job is performed primarily in a confined space with a single point of ingress/egress. When not in confined area, work is performed outdoors. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and earplugs are required at all times while performing primary function. Regular exposure to potentially dangerous chemicals requires body suits, rubber boots and breathing devices. Regular exposure to extreme heat and cold dependent upon weather conditions. Regular exposure to high sounds and noise levels. Exposure to chemicals, gases or liquid. Steel toed-boots required. Must occasionally work in high places. Travel often.
