UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A half dozen burglars stole half a million dollars' worth of luxury goods from an upscale Upper East Side consignment shop, according to police. Seven men walked into The RealReal — a consignment store for luxury clothing and jewelry on Madison Avenue and East 71st Street — about 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20, police said. Once inside, they stole jewelry, watches and handbags valued at about $498,000 combined, police said. The looted items included Chanel and Hermès handbags, Cartier watches, Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry and "miscellaneous rings and watches," an NYPD spokesperson told patch.
