At KL Guitar School I strive to make learning the guitar fun and stress-free. I like to create a supportive, nurturing environment to enhance your learning experience! I also have my own easy method of teaching vocals if you would like to be able to Sing and Play at the same time. I travel to your home for your private one on one lesson- no stress from driving around Los Angeles and getting stuck in traffic jams and you get to learn the guitar and sing from the comfort of your own home! (For parents, this will allow you to get stuff done while your child learns guitar.) I use learning techniques that focus on the fun and creativity of the guitar while also teaching music theory. I will teach you how to play all of your favorite songs by ear in any music style on either the acoustic or electric guitar (or both!). I am well-versed in all music styles including rock, alternative, avant-garde, folk, blues, prog, and jazz. I also help improve your learning experience by providing vocal and song writing instruction at no additional cost. For more advanced students I offer instruction in techniques such as finger picking and open tuning. I am currently accepting students for 2022 at a reasonable rate $80 an hour. More about your instructor: Kevin is an experienced musician with over 15 years in the music industry. His credits include releasing several albums on major indie labels, touring the world and performing in a variety of local venues. Kevin is trained in classical techniques but teaches through a variety of methods including song-based learning, ear training and music theory. Kevin has taught guitar privately as well as at professional music schools such as Paul Green's School of Rock.
