Elderly calico needs a new home

Meet Buttons She’s a 13 year old calico in need of a quiet home to live out the rest of her days. She belonged to a family member who passed away and we took her in but she’s proven to need a home without other pets. She’s not interested in playing and won’t defend herself so our young cat and dog make her uncomfortable and she’s decided to hide in the spare bedroom 24/7 no matter what we do. When she’s comfortable her favorite thing in the world is to lay on your chest or lap and purr as loud as she can. All she wants is affection and someone to hang out with. It hurts our hearts to see her so isolated and we just want her to be somewhere that she feels happy walking around and interacting with people again. As far as health goes she doesn’t have any internal issues but she’s very overweight so she can’t properly clean her lower half. We give her a bath every other week and she doesn’t put up a fight. Because of her hygiene her tail end is sensitive so she doesn’t appreciate being touched there. Buttons is free to a good home, she’s such a sweet girl and we just want the best for her.
