You dropped me this note when you passed me at the park What’s your favorite beverage? - I think I would have to say the gingerade Kombucha. Idk if it’s placebo, but it makes me feel healthy, skinny, happy and anytime I feel slightly ill I will drink one immediately. What are you currently listening to? - One of my favorite artists Four Tet did a collaboration with Burial called Nova and it really makes me feel like there aren’t any issues in the world for a brief 5 minutes and 42 seconds. Were you ever inspired by any illustrations/animation as a kid that led you to become a designer? - I absolutely loved cartoons as a child and wanted to be an animator. One of my early favorites that inspired me was the Gargoyles (1994). There was something so dark and ominous about the style that inspired a lot of early drawings and design styles I still find drawn to. Video games or board games, if so what is your favorite? - Legends of Zelda Majora's Mask made me the man I am today. Favorite place you’ve ever been? - Berlin, Germany. There’s so much history, art and culture that somehow find solace in one incredibly beautiful city. Also rent is 300 Euros… who can beat that? Favorite color? - Lavender. First ever design project? - My dad used to work for a design agency in the early 90s, and when I was in elementary school they asked me to color all the artwork for their year-in-review book. I was paid in candy and pokemon cards. Favorite artist? - I love pretty much any art from the Baroque period for the drama. I also wouldn’t hate owning an original Matisse painting. I did see a contemporary exhibit in Chicago recently by Cristina Quarles that was pretty mind blowing. Are cheetos chips? - Cheetos are chips!!! What’s your hottest controversial design take? - Airpods are a scam, but I will still use them. Favorite serif typeface? - Courier New
