Employees in this job perform and oversee a variety of custodial tasks to maintain a clean and safe building and work environment. • Buffing floors. • Sweep and mop floors, vacuum. • Strip and wax floors • Prepare all chemicals for stripping and cleaning carpets. • Ensure that work is not sloppy, edges/walls/baseboards should be free of wax or chemicals • Job may require moving furniture, or clearing area where job needs to be completed. • Cleaning and maintaining equipment, vehicle and etc. • Maintain custodial closets in a clean and orderly fashion. • Signing out supplies with supervisor, and alerting supervisor when low on supplies. • Follow housekeeping schedule outlined by supervisor. • Notify supervisor of anything broken or not working properly. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • Knowledge with walk-behind floor scrubber, high speed buffer, carpet machine • Knowledge of standard methods and practices. • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules. • Ability to operate and use custodial, equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, mop buckets, cleaning carts, and cleaning chemicals • Knowledge of the standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment used to clean buildings and furniture. • Background check
