The snake crossed the river

Biden called Putin after being told by dr jill that Putin had attacked Ukraine. He said to Putin, Hey man, I thought we had an agreement. You were only to take Ukraine a piece at a time. Putin replied; Joe, do you remember the fable about the dog and the snake. The snake was having trouble crossing the river and asked the dog to take it across. The dog said no, you will bite me to which the snake replied, Oh no, you have my promise that I won't bite you. The dog relented and with the snake on it's back swam over to the other side where the snake promptly bit it. While the dog lay dying, it asked the snake why it bit him after promising not to. The snake replied, I'm a snake, that's what snakes do.
