ROLE DESCRIPTION: In this role, you will lead or help on the outdoor, spring projects required to establish a small cut flower farm and market garden. -- This opportunity is for (1) one guaranteed 8hr day for 12 weeks. However, there may be an opportunity to increase the hours or days per week throughout the term. -- At the end of this term, there may be an opportunity for extended part-time employment through the end of November 2022. -- Your workday will begin with a sync with the farm owner to align on goals for the day and any resources you may need. From that point on, most days will involve independent work on key projects. -- There is no bathroom access on the farm, but there are many close by public options. -- Typical Schedule (can be flexible, but looking for this to be consistent): Morning Sync @ 9:30AM, Lunch @ 12:30 PM (45min), End of Day @ 5:30 PM SCOPE: -- Week of March 14th through Week of May 30th -- 1x Day a week for 12 Weeks (minimum) -- 8hrs per day (minimum) -- We are flexible with scheduling, however Wed - Friday avails preferred IDEAL CANDIDATE: You are: -- Interested in outdoor work and okay with manual labor (able to continually do tasks like lift 20 - 50lb bags, shoveling large loads of compost/mulch, etc) -- Experienced with power tools and are comfortable using them safely -- Good at working on a project independently with the final product in mind (you’re creative problem solver but also a strong communicator when you identify needed changes to a planned course of action) -- Able to commit to the full 12 week contract -- Positive, enthusiastic, and respectful RATE: $22 per hour If you feel this may be a fit for you, please send us an email and share any relevant details about yourself and any experience you have that qualifies you.
