You cannot return a country, with an economy smaller than California, to status of a World Power without threats, intimidation and murders. Putin is desperate to restore his feelings of youth and that is his driving force. His thought processes have become warped and he is out of touch with reality. He has built his own reality and it is from An Alternate Universe.
