Local building materials and equipment center in southern NH seeking Lumber Yard and Equipment Center Customer Service Associates for full and part-time positions. Successful candidates will possess good communication skills, strong work ethic and integrity. With the ability to take direction, to work independently as well as work as a team. They must have availability on at least 1 weekend day per week and some evenings until close (7pm). About Us: East Coast Lumber is a full-service professional lumber yard and building supply company in East Hampstead, NH, that has been Family owned and operated since 1976. Supplying local builders, remodelers, and homeowners. We have also become a preferred supplier of Kitchen & Bath products, Builders Hardware, Equipment Rentals/Repairs, and Millwork for many in the area. Work duties to include: • Assisting customers with selecting and loading of material and/or equipment. • Professional interaction with our customers and co-workers. • Operating Equipment (forklift, rental equipment, and small loader). • Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining materials and equipment in the yard and warehouse. • Picking orders for delivery or in-store pick up. • Re-stocking lumber and warehouse with material. • Occasionally assist the shipping department with deliveries to home and jobsites. General Requirements: • Knowledge of rental equipment and/or building supplies preferred but not required. • Applicant must be capable of lifting over 100 pounds using proper lifting techniques. • Job requires working outdoors during all weather conditions. • Good organizational skills. • Valid driver’s license and prior experience preferred, but not required. • Good communication skills, with ability to read, write, and speak English. • Must be able to work in a team environment and independently. • Must be available to work at least one weekend day.
