*preface: Canela is an amazing dog, I am not giving her the attention that she needs and I find myself getting frustrated with her. She is being rehomed to give her a better life, not for any fault of her own. We want to make sure she gets her forever home and she won't be given to just anyone* Sioux Falls SD - Rehoming Fee This is Canela. She was born April 27th 2021. She is a ACD mixed with a blue nose pitbull. Her first 4 months were spent in a home where she was abused. To my knowledge she was kicked, hit, yelled at, lived outside and was not fed. She is currently a work in progress as I call her. Because of her past she is a bit timid, and has food aggression towards other animals. She eats Hills Science Diet but has also had Authority and would probably eat anything given to her. She gets along with dogs she has met but will bark if she sees a dog on a walk. She likes the car, the snow, and going on runs. She is kennel trained and potty trained (we walk her every 2-4 hours) We also de-shed her and cut her nails at home (shes never had a problem). Since being in our care she lives with another ACD and a shih tzu mix. She does well living with them and thus far it has not caused problems. Things to be aware of: She has never met a kid under 10 but she is a herding dog so may not do well. She chews everything, doesn't matter how much attention she gets, if you look away she is probably breaking something. She has the attention span of a goldfish and does not take well to instruction.
