Traveling Technician - Apply today!! Job Description This position requires traveling and is generally done without direct supervision. * Approximately 50% of the service calls are in a greater Grand Rapids area (within a 3-hours of home.) * When the service calls are outside of a 1 hour driving radius, the job requires a hotel stay (company paid) and pays a $24/day per diem. * Service work orders will be scheduled to team member, via internet, who will work remote from home office * Local storage unit as a base of operations. * This person will work closely with our dispatcher and customer service representatives to ensure assigned work orders are addressed accurately and in a timely fashion. * The job requires a very good understanding of * electrical theory, * lighting, * trouble shooting * lamp and ballast knowledge. * Replace electrical and lighting components for existing layouts, as well as installation of new equipment. Electrical knowledge is a must and candidate must have at least a journeyman electrician license. Also must be able to * order inventory supplies, * maintain truck inventory, * follow store paperwork requirements, * and work proficiently. The applicant must also be able to get a DOT Medical Card/Chauffeurs Commercial License and have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, along with the ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen (including marajuana).
