Related Management is currently seeking an experienced Live-In Maintenance Technician to join us at our 42 unit affordable community in Asbury Park, NJ, with assistance as needed at our neighboring 101 unit affordable community in Oceanport, NJ. At Related Management Company (RMC), Maintenance Technicians perform essential work to keep their properties in great shape. Your skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other areas will help your property team better prepare vacant units for occupancy, making more units available faster to those eligible for affordable housing in your community. You’ll demonstrate pride in your building by completing service requests in a timely manner, interacting with residents, and keeping your property’s systems in good working order. Essential Functions: - Perform property maintenance and facilities work. - Coordinate completion of resident and management service requests in a timely manner. - Prepare vacant units to occupancy standard within established time frame. - Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds; immediately address safety issues with management. - Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities. - Prepare site for inspections. - Maintain workplace safety policies and standards, including current COVID-19 standards. - Responsible for emergency maintenance repairs. - Maintain inventory of building materials and supplies. - Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervision. - Support site and office operations as assigned by manager. Work Environment: - Emergency on-call is required. - Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be able to stand for an 8-hour shift. - This in-person live onsite role is based in Asbury Park, New Jersey. - Living on-site is required - this position includes a free studio apartment with utilities included.
