Press release from the City of Mendota Heights: June 22, 2020 Motorists who use Highway 13 in Lilydale and Mendota Heights will encounter a full closure and detour beginning 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Highway 13 between Sylvandale Road and Wachtler Ave/CR 8 in Mendota Heights will close in both directions beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, as crews make drainage and other repairs to the road. All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 5 p.m. Friday, July 10, weather permitting. Motorists who use the highway are advised to follow the signed detour using I-35E, Hwy 62 and Hwy 149 to bypass the closure. Road work continues to be a critical service. MnDOT is committed to protecting the health, safety and well-being of its employees, contractors and all Minnesotans.
