TWIN CITIES, MN — Both President Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger, Joe Biden, will visit Minnesota for separate rallies Friday. Biden's team says he will lead a "drive-in" rally in St. Paul. "Biden will travel to Minnesota to discuss bringing Americans together to address the crises facing the country and winning the battle for the soul of the nation," a news release from the Biden campaign reads. "In the afternoon, Vice President Biden will deliver remarks at a drive-in event in St. Paul to encourage Minnesotans to vote." It's not yet clear when or where in St. Paul the Biden rally will take place. Trump will host a "Make America Great Again Victory Rally" at the Rochester International Airport, his campaign website states. It will begin at 5 p.m. "Joe Biden and the Democrats can no longer rely on Minnesota as a reliably blue state," Republican Party of Minnesota Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan said in a statement Thursday. "The shifts throughout Minnesota, in addition to the increasing support for our President, reinforces the optimism we have about November 3rd.While the President is making his eighth visit to our state since he took the oath of office, Biden will use our state again as a backdrop, which will be too little too late." Patch will carry a live feed of both the Trump and Biden rallies Friday.
