Simply put, I am STRESSED from being confined in a small kennel for long periods of time and sadly I’m hurting myself (See details below.). It’s just not humane to keep me here. Who can save my life? I don’t want to die!! I’m a 2-year-old, spayed, gray and white American Pit Bull Terrier (60 lbs.). I came in a a stray. The person who found me said I was great with kids and people just not good with cats. I get over excited inside the shelter, but when I am away on a walk from the noise and chaos of this place, I settle down. I love attention, “sit” for treats and take them nicely. Volunteers have all positive things to say about me! I just cannot handle shelter life any longer! I have started to injure myself and have torn my toe nails (to the point of bleeding) I Just need out of here ASAP!! I haven’t had a dog-to-dog evaluation at the shelter; so, if you have dogs in your home, you will need the ability to separate us initially and gradually introduce. It is recommended that I meet my adopter’s or foster’s entire family before going home. I can’t go to a home with cats. I will need time to de-stress (go on walks and have time to unwind).
