KANE COUNTY, IL — A Kane County woman in her 20s recently died from COVID-19, making her the youngest person in the county to die amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Illinois Department of Public Health announced the woman's death Monday, along with the death of a Kane County man in his 50s. As of Monday, 464 county residents have died from COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, the state's data shows. 31 Coronavirus Deaths In Kane County During 1st Week of December Just 23 of those residents — or about 5 percent — were under the age of 50, including seven in their 30s.
