This is a special discounted event for Yay Bikes! members only! Class is limited to six people so don't delay! Register now!
Give your bike some TLC this spring. Franklinton Cycle Works and Yay Bikes! are partnering up to offer private shop time for small groups of Yay Bikes! members at a discounted rate. The class is limited to six Yay Bikes! members. A FCW mechanic will be on hand to provide tutelage as needed. At FCW you'll have access to pretty much any bike tool you can think of and a myriad of cleaners, oils, and greases. FCW also has a broad range of parts on hand, and they can get whatever you need with some advance notice. Talk to your Yay Bikes! friends and make it a date. Since its a private event, you're welcome to bring food and beverages. You are welcome to bring along a friend to work on your bike.
Note: You will not be getting a full tune up by a professional. You will get a great space to work and instruction from a professional mechanic on what your bike needs and how to do it. Most issues can be addressed and folks will leave FCW with a bike that's in much better working order than when they came in. It's possible however, that an issue that can't be addressed during the workshop or takes professional skill that falls outside the scope of the workshop such as bleeding hydraulic brake lines could be discovered. Additionally, please do not expect to get your 30 year old bike that's been sitting unused in the garage for the past 10 years street worthy in one two-hour session. You can likely make some progress however.
Yay Bikes! influences the conditions that help people safely and comfortably ride bicycles for transportation.
