Farm Camp for Kids Welcome to Summer Camp for Kids at Providence Farm! This is our no clever, catchy named, first half of the day, dive into learning on the farm summer camp for kids ages 8-14. Hands on and very interactive with activities that include a little & a lot of everything we do here. Campers will work with animals, dye fiber, work fiber into take home treasures, learn a variety of traditional skills, engineer, milk goats, make soaps, test soil & water, move pigs, groom horses, grow food, harvest food, cook food, eat food and so. much. more. From the hay loft to the herb gardens, the pastures, wetlands, and woodlands, kids will learn about sustainable, ethical, responsible co-existing within the natural world. Camp day starts at 8 am sharp and ends at 12:30 pm with Round Table Recap lunch from 12-12:30 (campers bring their own; we provide snacks of fresh fruit & water). Located just outside Greensboro, in McLeansville, we are about 2 miles north of I-85/40. The farm is populated with rare, heritage breed sheep & poultry.  Responsible, sustainable stewardship is what we're all about. We offer pasture raised poultry & lamb, as well as free range chicken eggs, quail eggs, and various fiber related goods from our rare Leicester Longwool & Tunis sheep.
