Yakobi Fisheries is a family owned & operated, based out of Pelican, AK, in the remote wilderness of Chichagof Island. Here we process all of our locally hand-caught fish and send it to our warehouse in Juneau for shipping & distribution, run by our partner Chris McDowell. Our Juneau warehouse is seeking Crew Members for our busy season May-October. Height of season is July-October, overtime will be required. Warehouse Crew Member Duties: Completes shipments by processing and loading orders. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area. Completes deliveries by driving a truck or van to and from Alaska Air Cargo and FedEx Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat. Promotes clean shipping packing areas by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Completes reports by entering required information. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Icing and freezing fish from totes while maintaining food safety standards Work Hours: 8AM-5PM and later M-F, and some weekends, Part time to 40 hours a week plus overtime (1.5x hourly) Warehouse Crew Member Qualifications / Skills: Teamwork Must be able to lift approximately 60 lbs, repeatedly Must be willing to work in a variety of environments, including walk-in freezers, outside in the rain, inside the packing area Ability to do basic calculations of weight Documentation skills, keeping track of dates and specific weights Ability to drive a forklift, a plus but not required Equipment maintenance skills, a plus but not required Dependability Background Check is required upon hire
