AURORA, IL — Live performances are set to return to Aurora's RiverEdge Park next June, more than a year after officials canceled all Summer 2020 performances due to the coronavirus pandemic. "It breaks our hearts to have to make this difficult decision. The music and camaraderie at RiverEdge has become a part of the fabric of Aurora and the suburbs during the summer — but rest assured, music will fill the air next season," RiverEdge Park officials said last month in a statement announcing the cancellations. Events In Aurora Canceled Through End Of Summer: Mayor RiverEdge organizers have rescheduled nearly every canceled performance for next year, and tickets for those rescheduled events have automatically been transferred to next year's dates. Anyone with tickets to rescheduled events can request a refund or credit until 60 days before the new date, according to organizers. The RiverEdge Park box office is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday for anyone with questions about the events or their tickets. According to the venue's 2021 schedule, organizers are still in talks to bring back Sugarland, Poi Dog Pondering, and Snoop Dogg, who said "he would love to hit Aurora in 2021." Dark Star Orchestra will not be returning in 2021, as the band is not booking any shows for next summer, organizers said.
