Join us as we learn about native plants, the ecoEXPLORE program, and how to be a Citizen Scientist. Plant a seed to take home and grow!
The first day of spring is March twentieth so we are welcoming her a day early in citizen scientist style!
At this program we will learn about the importance of native plants, how to help scientists with species identification and tracking and how to grow our very own native plants.
Did you know Clayton Library has their very own pollinator garden sponsored by the ecoExplore program and the NC Arboretum? Our garden features native pollinators, plants that are found in North Carolina naturally and help bees, butterflies and other pollinators spread pollen and keep nature thriving!
Each child will have the opportunity to plant their own native seeds to take home and grow!
This is an outdoor program (weather permitting) taking place in our pollinator garden and involving soil, please dress accordingly!
