April is Earth Month. Keep Bakersfield Beautiful (KBB) has a 20-year history celebrating our planet in April. This coming April 2022, not only will Keep Bakersfield Beautiful bring back our signature volunteer event of the year, the 19th Annual Great American Cleanup, it will also be when we celebrate our 20th anniversary with the Bakersfield community. The Keep Bakersfield Beautiful 20th Anniversary Luncheon is Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Please join us in this day of gratitude and community pride. The commemorative luncheon is scheduled to take place from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Mechanics Bank Arena, Theater, and Convention Center. This special event will be a served luncheon and awards ceremony to honor several of our long established volunteers, sponsors, and community partners. It’s a chance for us all to come together and share our stories around the table of how the people of Bakersfield have banded together with KBB to make a difference. And what a difference it's been! So far together, we've estimated that more than 132,000 volunteers have cleaned up more than 4-Million pounds of litter and illegally dumped items! And that's not all that's been accomplished and will be achieved together. Sponsors of the Keep Bakersfield Beautiful 20th Anniversary Luncheon will also be recognized at the 19th Annual Great American Cleanup. The Great American Cleanup is our main volunteer event of the year.
