Intro to Razor Class Join Sarah Beck for an Intro to Razor class hosted by Elevate Oragnic Salon . In this begginers class you will learn the anatomy of the razor, how to hold it, and dexterity with this new tool. You will learn how the different types of strokes affect the haircut. You will also learn what types of hair are appropriate for the straight razor. This Intro class will focus on a bob, teaching us how to create a one length cut without heavy weight at the perimeter. This razor 101 has the option of look and learn from 10a-1p, and hands-on from 1:30p-3:30p. For the hands-on portion: A Plier straight razor, blades, and a mannequin are required. The mannequin doesn't have to be brand new, it just can't be bleached to level 10. The length can be longer than bob length for you to get as much out of your mannequin as possible. Also a small cutting kit would be helpful: Definelty a water spray bottle (you will use this a lot in razor cutting), scissors, a blow dryer, brush, etc. Please reach out if you have any questions!
