Missing Aurora Man Found Dead Friday After Extensive Search

Updated at 3:40 p.m. Dec. 4 AURORA, IL — An Aurora man who wentmissing Wednesday morning was found dead Friday in Oakhurst Forest Preserve, police said. Alan Gustaitis, 47, was first reported missing around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, with Aurora police warning he may be "experiencing a medical episode that requires immediate hospitalization." Aurora police conducted an extensive but unsuccessful search of Oakhurst Forest Preserve on Thursday afternoon with help from several other agencies and about 150 community members. Gustaitis' body was found around noon Friday in the forest preserve as police continued to search for him. Check back to Patch.com for updates to this developing story.
